If you have a new or creative or really fun concept that you want to try out and want to collaborate with me on a photo shoot, send me a message. If your idea sounds fun to me, we can probably work something out.
Sometimes I do collaborations, or trade (for print) shoots. In these shoots, everyone works for free and everyone receives the photos to use in their portfolios. These shoots are creative collaborations between you and I, although sometimes I just need practice or want to try some new. You won’t get nearly as many photos as you would for a paid shoot and both of us have to agree on the look and feel of the shoot whereas in a paid shoot you would have complete authority. I do have some guidelines on these shoots, and I ask every model to sign a release (below).
Just a few guidelines on trade shoots with me:
- All models must have a signed Model Release on file with me. If you have not provided a signed release, please download the document below, sign, and return to me no later than the start of our scheduled photo session.
- For your comfort, you are welcome to bring a friend/escort with you to the shoot! In fact, I encourage it! Your escort cannot be disruptive to the shoot. Your escort might be asked to assist with simple tasks.
- TFP shoots normally take between 20 minutes to 1 hour.
- Please be courteous – just as I plan my schedule to be respectful of your time, kindly return the favor and be on time for your shoot. Time is a valuable commodity, both yours and mine. Contact me right away about any unexpected delays . Habitual late arrivals or no shows will possibly result in and end to your TFP shoot collaborations.
- You will receive a minimum of 10 edited photos from the TFP shoot. All edited photos provided may be use however you choose without restriction. Additional edited photos can be purchased for $5 each.
- When posting TFP images, please do include appropriate photography credits and tag @phototreehouse on Instagram and @Photo Treehouse on Facebook.
- Help me build my social media exposure and following!! If you publicly post and tag me in 5 or more images, I’ll give you an additional 5 fully edited images (for a total of 15 free photos).
- You do not have permission to edit the digital images. This includes removal of the Photo Treehouse watermark. If you want photos without a watermark, just let me know and we can agree to a price for a paid shoot.
- I work as quickly as possible on photo edits, however, please allow 3 to 6 weeks for delivery of your fully edited images.
